Using Your Phone as a Virtual Microphone

  • Connect Your Phone to Your PC: Use an AUX cable to connect your phone's headphone jack to your PC's microphone port.

  • Set Up Audio Settings on Your PC:
    • Go to Settings > System > Sound > More Sound Settings.
    • Under the Recording tab, right-click and select Show Disabled Devices.
    • Find your connected phone (it may appear as "Line In" or "Microphone"), right-click, and select Enable.
    • Set it as the default device.
  • Open OBS Studio: Launch OBS Studio on your PC.
  • Add Audio Input Capture in OBS:
    • Click the + icon under Sources.
    • Select Audio Input Capture.
    • Name it (e.g., "Music Mic") and click OK.
  • Select Your Phone as the Device: Choose your phone's connected input (e.g., "Microphone (Realtek High Definition Audio)"). Click OK.
  • Adjust Volume in OBS: In the Audio Mixer section, adjust the volume levels for your "Music Mic" source.
